The KTC Western National Parks tour begins in Ferndale WA just over the border from Vancouver, Canada, and ends in Las Vegas, Nevada. It operates back to back with the KTC Northern Canada and Alaskan Tours.
From Ferndale our first stop is the Bavarian town of Leavenworth. It is then on to Spokane and West Glacier National Park and the spectacular Going to the Sun Highway. The Yellowstone National Park and the famous Old Faithful Geyser follow and then the less famous but very scenic Grand Tetons National Park. We spend some time in Jackson Hole with a chance to visit a real cowboy bar or buy some very expensive art work. Then we hit the road and travel down to Canyon Country. Arches National Park, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion National Park and of course Grand Canyon National Park. We then have a short break in Las Vegas before returning the motorhomes.
It’s not all National Parks. Along the way we find time to see something of small town USA, visit a restored Bavarian town, relax in some great pools and let’s not forget the regular happy hours and included group dinners.
As we make our way to the National Parks we make a visit to a restored Bavarian Town. Great German/Swiss food and shops that sell most things including cuckoo clocks.
