Payments and Deposits
Provisional bookings
Prior to completing a booking form you can phone or email us to check availability. If space is available we will issue a provisional booking invoice. However, a booking cannot be confirmed until the deposit has been paid.
Payment methods
We accept payment by internet banking, direct deposit to our Australian or New Zealand bank account or by cheque. Payments by post: KTC Travel Group Ltd, PO Box 35-198, Naenae, Wellington 5041, New Zealand.
Standard cancellation policy
Prior to final payment – Loss of deposit if you change your mind or cancel.
After final payment – Up to 100% of tour cost. Refunds are subject to supplier cancellation terms and conditions, processing and penalty fees may be payable. KTC tour fees and charges are non-refundable (subject to and not intended to limit your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act and Fair Trading Act).
Funds held for suppliers
When you make a tour booking with KTC we regard that as a firm commitment to travel and make the necessary arrangements with suppliers for the tour to proceed. Money paid to KTC is not held on trust but as a debt due and payable to the tour suppliers.
Participation Agreement
We welcome you as a participant on this tour. Your booking is subject to the following terms and conditions.
General conditions
The tour operator is KTC Motorhome Tours Ltd a subsidary of KTC Travel Group Ltd (KTC). As tour operator we use the services of other suppliers to provide aspects of the tour. We have no direct control over these suppliers and cannot accept responsibility should they fail for any reason to provide the contracted services.
Tour safety and management
It is a condition of your participation you agree to follow the reasonable instructions of the tour leaders.
Rental conditions – Vehicle return
The vehicle hire is subject to the rental company standard terms and condition. The vehicle must be returned to the agreed depot on the due date. No refund is given for early return. The vehicle must be returned in a clean and tidy condition with a full fuel tank and LPG bottle or as otherwise advised by the rental company. All waste water tanks and the toilet cassette must be emptied. If these conditions are not meet any additional charges will be to your account.
Itinerary alterations
No refunds will be given for voluntary itinerary alterations. Participants are advised it may be necessary to alter the itinerary for operational reasons such as campground and road closures. Refunds are not generally available in these circumstances and participants should ensure their travel insurances cover ’s such events.
Vehicle insurance excess
Participants are advised KTC has entered into agreements with both the rental vehicle supplier and Vero New Zealand for excess cover. An excess may be payable under these agreements but the vehicle supplier will require a refundable credit card bond (which is debited). The cost of any damage will be deducted from the bond. Participants are advised breaches of the rental agreement could void any insurance cover. You also agree that if any bond is posted on your behalf by KTC it is to be refunded direct to KTC by the vehicle supplier.
Travel insurance
If you purchased travel insurance for this tour though KTC you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the policy, which do not include cover for preexisting conditions unless accepted by Vero. You acknowledge you are not aware of any circumstances likely to cause the journey to be cancelled and all persons whose state of health the journey depends are in good health and you have not been refused travel insurance or had special terms applied to any insurance policies, not withheld any information (such as criminal convictions) that may affect the insurance. You agree Vero Insurance New Zealand Limited is authorised to give and obtain information from other parties including other insurance companies and the insurance claims register, relating to this insurance or any claims made under this or any other previous policy.
