Cabo San Lucas
Cabo San Lucas or simply Cabo is a resort city at the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsular in the state of Baja California Sur. It has a twin city San Jose del Cabo which together are known as Los Cabos. Cabo is rated as one of Mexico’s top tourist destinations and is known for its beaches, scuba diving, the Sea Arch and marine life. Cabo houses a range of wildlife, including rays, sharks, birds, and a range of fish, such as mahi-mahi (dorado), and striped marlin. The locals normally operate market stalls around the marina when cruise ships are in port Your chance to purchase a bargain gift or maybe something to put up on the wall back home.
Puerto Vallarta is a beach resort located on the Pacific Coast, approximately 190 miles from Guadalajara, at the Western side of the State of Jalisco. One of the many great things about Puerto Vallarta is the long Malecon (oceanfront promenade) which runs for about 1.5km. This is the perfect spot to enjoy a stroll, without having to deal with the crazy traffic that whizzes along the narrow streets. Along the Malecon you have the beautiful ocean on one side, and many shops, restaurants and bars on the other (selling $1 margaritas and Coronas!). There are also numerous art installations and street performances as well here. The Malecon is the hot-spot, especially in the late afternoon and evenings when it’s a cooler temperature.
The city was founded in 1531 by an army of Spaniards and local settlers In the mid-19th century a large group of immigrants arrived from Germany. They were able to develop Mazatlán into a thriving commercial seaport, importing equipment for the nearby gold and silver mines.. The settlers also established the Pacifico Brewery which still produces some of the best beer Mexico has to offer. Walk along the streets and through the alleys. Admire the centuries-old architecture and the majestic buildings that are a testament to the city’s rich past.
Relax and enjoy the tree-lined gardens and walk around the area to admire the beautiful colourful houses.
Explore the Casa Canobbio
The house was believed to be the location of the Fountain of Youth. Local legend tells of a previous owner who discovered a magical potion that rejuvenated hundreds of people.
